Summer is upon us, and I, for one, could not be more excited. Warm weather brings a great opportunity to get outdoors, and Weber County offers countless ways to enjoy it. In the coming months, you’ll find farmers markets, music festivals, and our very own Pioneer Days Rodeo.
Weber County is also home to an array of hiking and biking trails branching off the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, as well as rock climbing spots and peaceful places to relax—like our Botanical Gardens.
More importantly, time outside gives us a chance to reconnect—with nature, with others, and with ourselves.
So whether you know a child, friend, or spouse who is struggling—or if you’re carrying something heavy yourself—take time to get outside this summer. It doesn’t have to be far or complicated. A walk, a sunset, or a shared outing can make a meaningful difference.
These experiences not only brighten the day but also restore the soul. They remind us that hope is still present, and that connection—whether with others or simply the world around us—can be deeply healing.
